We're now back from Internet World, the latest of our B2B 'soft launch' exhibitions. Though we didn't meet the guys we were mainly aiming for (where do marketing directors of fmcg brands go to find out new opportunities?), it was nonetheless highly worthwhile.
We met some truly lovely folks who 'got' what we're about, loved the concept and are now definite Junkk.com converts. They ranged from fellow .commers to major govt. department IT specialists, to local authority officers to major community group webmasters. Plus of course many interested passers-by from the public, who were quite happy to accept that we needed their help to load up the site with information, data and ideas a little more before formally launching to the rest of the great British public.
We also came away with loads of good advice. So yes, guys.. we know we need to put a blog up... soon!
We also are now convinced we do need to attend more, if more relevant (ie; marketing-based) such events to reach out to the business community, and also are now looking at a national roadshow for the public. So look out soon at a shopping centre near you!
